This initiative aims to ensure the integrity of the building’s fire compartments, creating a safer barrier for the medical environment.

Liansuo Construction Technology’s inspection operations strictly comply with the international standard ISO/IEC 17020:2012 and the Republic of China national standard CNS 15814-1 (Fire Resistance Test for Penetration Seals – Penetration Sealing Systems). These standards clearly define requirements for firestop materials in terms of fire resistance, flame shielding, thermal insulation, and movement performance under structural displacement, ensuring the objectivity, impartiality, and authority of the inspection results.

Systematic Inspection Process, Comprehensive Quality Assurance

Liansuo Construction Technology’s firestop inspection services cover the following key aspects:

• Document Review: Thoroughly verifying fire compartment drawings, qualifications and certificates of firestop contractors, product technical data, firestopping construction plans (or checklists), and CNS-certified methods or necessary Engineering Judgments (EJ) to ensure compliance from the outset.
• On-Site Verification: Inspectors certified through UL/FM firestop examinations conduct on-site destructive testing to confirm that the selection of firestop materials, construction dimensions, fixing methods, and system continuity meet the required standards.
• Compliance Assessment: Conducting a comprehensive evaluation of the construction quality and applicability of the firestop systems based on CNS national standards or the owner’s contract specifications.
• Report Issuance and Labeling: Upon passing the inspection, Liansuo Construction Technology issues an official inspection report recognized by IAS/ILAC international mutual recognition agreements. Additionally, inspection labels are affixed to the qualified firestop locations for easy identification, management, and quality traceability.

Upon completion of the inspection, Liansuo Construction Technology provides one inspection report in both Chinese and English (including electronic and hard copies). In this NTUH project, a total of 38 locations across various floors and major system penetrations were sampled and inspected, with all found to be in full compliance with standards.
